Whilst I felt that I was beginning to come to a halt wit the progression of my music video, I feel that having looked more into the artists style I'm getting back on track.
Recently, Gabrielle Aplin released a new music video for her song from a new EP 'Home'. This video has helped me vastly as strangely it appears to follow a similar style to that suggested in my initial ideas. I wanted my music video to focus on nature and the outdoors environment rather than indoors, particularly connoted through many of the shots in this video. The video has helped me understand the artists unique style, and help me adapt and improve my own ideas. I now feel much more comfortable with using lip syncing, as I can personally understand the bond the audience can create with the artist through lip syncing. In the first two minutes of my edited music video it's apparent that the audience cannot make any connection with the character, due to using no lip syncing and the lack of facial shots, distancing them from the lyrics and the music itself.
