Below is a brainstorm of ideas for my product, I think this will help in the progress of planning as it will give me a few ideas to think about and possibly develop.

Camera

• Close ups of female character
• ELS of setting - outdoors > fields, rivers etc.
• CU/ECU of nature - flowers
• LS of female character - iconic clothing - indie-like style
• Tilts towards sky/trees
• Low angles of character - aggression
• High angles of character - weakness
• ELS of other characters - should I add other characters or just have one?
• Shots of instruments - piano, guitars etc.

Mise-en-scene

• Outdoors setting - focus on nature > majority of indie-folk music videos are outside
• Indoor setting - artificial lighting e.g. fairy lights - creates an mysterious atmosphere
• Clothing - seasonal (autumn) hats/coats
• Lighting - nature, use of fire etc.
• Black and white effect
• Positioning of character - left/right of frame > weakness

Editing

• Fairly slow paced editing throughout - reflect pace of the song
• Speed of editing increases as pace of the song increases
• Layering of various shots e.g. characters face & CU of fire - danger/characters lack of control
• Fading shots into each other - creates link/atmosphere
